Your two weeks old today and you’re growing every day… slow down just a little. Daddy is off work again this week so we spent a lot of time just chilling out and enjoying our time together as a family. As I’m sure I’ve said a million times, we sure are going to miss dada once he has to go back to work.
Height/weight: this week you’re up to 6lb8, wow even the
midwife said that’s brilliant for a breastfed baby. You’re still fitting into
your early baby outfit but it’s getting tight and your growing into the tiny
baby clothes granddad bought you.
Routine: We are still feeding on demand and have no routine;
we are just going with the flow and doing exactly what you want when you want
it done.
Sleep: you’re still sleeping in bed with us a lot of the
time but will occasionally sleep in the mosses basket however we normally just
fall asleep together whilst you’re feeding. In the day time you sleep 3 – 4
hours at a time, which should mean we have plenty of time to get stuff done
however we normally just spend that time cuddling up with each other and
watching you whilst you sleep. At night time you sleep for about 2 hours before
waking again however you’re getting much better at settling yourself.
Eating: in the day time you feed every 3 – 4 hours for about
30 minutes, half way through the feed you like to have a little break and just
cuddle mama. At night you’re feeding every 2 hours for almost an hour, you just
get super-duper hungry at night.
Your poops are explosive and go everywhere
Your nails are super sharp and every time we try to file them down or trim them you scream
This week your skin got dry so we are using Vaseline on the dry patches
Your so much more alert this week
Your spending longer awake playing on your mat or just having a good look around
You had your blood spot tests and didn’t make a sound
You think sucking on your hands is a good time
Your still in huggies size 1
Hair is still dirty blonde and eyes are still big and dark blue
